This one-day Plus Size Moving and Handling Study Day is designed to equip clinicians with the skills and knowledge required to safely and effectively support plus-size individuals in various scenarios. Through hands-on practice and expert-led sessions, participants gain insight into innovative solutions for managing complex manual handling situations, enhancing the quality of care and reducing risks for both clients and caregivers.

Course Outline
This course is structured around a case study, presenting a variety of scenarios throughout the day that you will work through using different types of equipment, including:
- Assisting a fallen plus-size individual.
- Emergency evacuation through narrow doorways.
- Turning and repositioning in bed.
- Application and practical hoisting methods.
- Rehabilitation through supported standing and walking aids.
- Flat floor lifting techniques.
- Therapeutic seating and discharge planning.

This course will take place on the 24 June in Hollinsworth Hall in the Canalside, Marsh Lane, Bridgwater, Somerset, TA6 6LQ, between 9:30am and 4:30pm.
